Fleet Management is our assignment

The F.Laeisz Group was founded in 1824. The main business interest of this family-run medium size company lies in shipping, but it is also active in trade, insurance, financing, real estate/land  and a travel agency.

The F. Laeisz Shipping Group is one of the leading shipping companies in Germany with around 1500 crew on board and about 150 employees ashore. The fleet of about 60 vessels managed by us has a size of more than 2.700.000 TDW. The diversified fleet and the range of vessel types is the basis for a solid future of our company in spite of fluctuations in different markets. Our F. Laeisz Shipping Group operates bulk carriers, reefer vessels, gas carriers, Ro-Ro/Pax vessels and research vessels. By intensive training and education the specialized know-how and experiences in these different markets are continuously extended and handed over to younger generations. Quality and environmental protection standards are very important to us. Our company was audited successfully with the quality management system DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 (since 1996) and the environmental management system DIN EN ISO 14001:2004 (as the first German shipping company in 1997) by the Germanischer Lloyd. In 2008, the company has also been awarded the GL 5 Star Excellence Certificate. The “Company’s safety and environmental protection policy and declaration on its safety management system (SMS)“ describes the principles of our work relating to safety, security, quality and environmental policy. The achieved results regarding environmental care are summarized and assessed regularly in an environmental report.
